what sort of equipment do you use to make your shit?
post your existing equipment and new gear here...
or post questions regarding buying hardware/software/equipment...

this thread applies to any medium, digital or analog, paint or photo...

anyway, i got a new tripod...

bogen 3021bpro
bogen 486 compact ball head
bogen quick release plate...

i used this in the rain and it's pretty solid...
i hope this will hold a 4x5 field camera...

bogen makes quality sticks. I've never gotten the opportunity to try out a ball head but they look like they would come in handy at times.

Very nice. Bogen/Manfrotto makes the best stuff out there. Check the weight rating on your tripod, but I would imagine it will hold up.

I'd prefer to see equipment being used rather than glossy catalogue price list links.........

My gear :

- Nikon D70
- AF-S DX Nikkor 18-70 mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
- Nikon Fisheye-Nikkor 16mm f/2.8D AF
- Nikon Nikkor 70-210mm f/4.5-5.6 AI-s (cheap plastic lens, but ooh so fun)
- Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 A
- Cheap ass Slik tripod(personnally, i don't see the reason to buy a 400$ tripod)
- Remote
- UV filters for all the lenses.

Although i don't have as much as you guys, i still think that i'm taking some kickass exposures...

everything from the balance, weight, build, options (rails, heads), height, etc makes it worth paying a lot of money for a good tripod...
you'll probably won't buy one now, but you will later...

about 13lbs, it feels like it will hold 200lbs...
i think for a small field camera later on, it will be ok...
