Turkey day

Alright fuckers, it's that time again.

What are you making for Thanksgiving and how are you preparing your turkey (if you're making one).

I will be deep frying again this year and I always use Alton Brown's turkey brine recipe.

Do this, it will make the best bird you've ever had, even if you're not deep frying it.

We're also serving mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, fried green beans, turkey fries, rolls, corn (I think) and whatever else the wife feels like making.

Don't kill yourself. Even Alton admits that it's incredibly dangerous.

everything you eat has been bioengineered, sucks for you I guess. There's always that weirdo shit where you try to live off the sun.

This year I'm making the green bean casserole which contains:
french cut green beans
water chestnuts
sauteed mushrooms and onions
cream of mushroom soup and of course
onion straws
would put bacon in it, but my cousin is becoming a rabbi and now suddenly we can't have pork products....fuck that

also my family always has two turkeys (one regular and one smoked)
mashed potatoes
sweet potato casserole
some cranberry jello thing with green onions that my grandma makes and no one ever eats
a relish plate
rolls
oyster stuffing
corn bread stuffing
and three types of pies: pumpkin, pecan, and sweet potato

It's super easy. The only thing that makes it dangerous is people who think they should fill the pot with oil, not thinking about the mass of the turkey displacing all that boiling oil. Once you go fried, you never go back.
