I'm not sure if it's because the revelation about the Vs being lizard people was on from the start, or that we already know most of them are evil, but I find the show lacks tension.

I'm a fanboy in pain now. I loved the original. I finally got around to watching this. The original series I think had a weak story but excellent writing. The nazi theme was played out excellently, albeit in an eighties moralistic fashion ruining it quite a bit. Now in a world of Sopranos, Rome and the Wire I expect a little bit more morally questionable story. The sleeper cells idea were awesome. Osama Bin Laden as an evil visitor plant was great... and the pope. And even the black guy as an alien jumping ship is an awesome idea. The new series has a much stronger story but atrocious writing.

Wtf happened to show, don't tell. Don't give me long lectures and speeches about what is happening... SHOW ME!!! That's the point of moving pictures. And for fucks sake, don't do all the major reveals in the pilot... jebus. Even if I know what's coming, I want a build up to it. That's what building suspense is all about. In the original V I liked the aliens. They were all really likeable. Their evilness was only shown in the most subtle ways. That added to it. In this one the aliens run around with swords murdering people and stare with a psychopaths stare.

The original V had way cooler designs. I want the original mother ship and Diana back. I'll probably watch it for a few more episodes, but right now I'm very disappointed. I refuse to believe interesting sci-fi is such a hard sell?

BTW, If you haven't watched it, don't get sour for me not hiding the reveals. This is stuff you'll find out straight away.

So far I'm enjoying the series, but why only show 4 episodes then break until next year? Fucking dumb, hopefully this idiotic move doesn't kill the series, I'm hungry for some entertaining SciFi these days.

I can guess that at some point she's gonna fall in love with the guy, and instead of using him like her evil mom told her to, she's going to betray her mom "for love" and possibly save him and/or his mom.

Yea, just like most TV/Movies...so predictable. Thats why I don't understand why my lady gets mad when I reveal the plot to ish 5-10 minutes into it. Same stories, different format. Still, junkie for SciFi.
