I can guess that at some point she's gonna fall in love with the guy, and instead of using him like her evil mom told her to, she's going to betray her mom "for love" and possibly save him and/or his mom.

That's when I decided to stop watching another V episode. The pilot was pretty weak. I gave it a chance, hoping it would sort itself out and watched two more episodes. Just more of the same. Wow, this new series is in deep trouble. What a load of shallow formulaic tripe. A cliff hanger before every single ad break!!! No wonder the writing stinks. With constraints like that anything will turn into poo.
My theory is that I think the series has been written for eight year olds. I suspect it's retarded on purpose. A bit sad because I'd imagine those happiest for this would be my age, who were strapping young lads when the first one came out. I didn't think I'd say it, but the original series is about a thousand times deeper than this. I couldn't imagine it possible, but they still managed. That's at least some sort of accomplishment.
